Vice-Governor of St. Petersburg Sergey Kozyrev visited the construction site of the Kolpinskaya CHP CCGT

Today, Vice Governor of St. Petersburg Sergey Kozyrev, who is responsible for the municipal economy, visited the operating CHPP in the Kolpino district of St. Petersburg, and also inspected the construction site of the new CCGT CHPP. To date, the Group of Companies “GSR-Energo” is building Unit 1 of the CCGT CHPP, which is being carried out in order to provide energy to the Kolpinsky district, including its industrial zone.

Viktor Kotov, General Director of GSR Energo, demonstrated the progress of the CHP construction. Currently, the installation of the frame of the main building is being completed at the construction site, including the separation of the waste heat boiler, steam and gas turbines, pipe rack and TLU. Preparations are underway for the installation of a GENERAL ELECTRIC gas turbine with a capacity of 75 MW. All construction activities are carried out on time and in accordance with the stated plans. The commissioning of the first stage of the CHPP is expected in a year – in the 1st quarter of 2013.
