Project “Technical re-equipment of production facilities of JSC “GSR Vodokanal”, as of the 2nd quarter of 2021

In March 2021, commissioning was completed and the first group of sand traps (4 units) was put into operation after reconstruction.

All reconstruction work was carried out in the normal mode, in accordance with the established schedule for the implementation of the project “Technical re-equipment of production facilities of JSC” GSR “Vodokanal”.

Sand traps are used for primary treatment of surface wastewater and industrial effluents from customers of the Kolpino industrial site. At the stage of sand traps, coarse suspension (particles with a diameter of more than 0.25 mm) is removed from the drains, which makes up to 20% of all suspended solids, and part of the oil products (approximately 10%) that floats in the form of a film is retained.

As part of the reconstruction, a set of works was carried out to restore the working surfaces of the sand traps, in addition, the inlet and outlet reinforced concrete channels were replaced.

It should also be noted that in order to organize a new technological scheme, high-tech FLYGT pumps were installed, designed to organize the pumping of coarse suspension from sand traps.

The performed work on the reconstruction of sand traps became another stage in improving the reliability of the CSP of GSR Vodokanal JSC, while ensuring compliance with strict environmental requirements for the safe operation of treatment facilities provided for by the legislation of the Russian Federation.
